Maurice’s maternal grandmother was Ana Margarita del Toro y Abril (the daughter of Ramon del Toro y Torres and Ana Abril y Amores). Ana was born in Santiago, Cuba. Ramon was born in Puerto Rico, the son of Ramon Toro y del Toro and Manuela Torres. Ana was born in Baracoa, Cuba, the daughter of Jeronimo Abril y Clos, who was from Barcelona, Spain; and of Ana Amores y Martinez.
